REPORTING A CLAIM
If you are
a client of ours and need to report a claim, the best thing to do
is call our office as soon as possible during our normal business
hours; Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm. If the office is closed and
you would like to report your claim immediately, you may call the
insurance company directly and report it. Click
here for an alphebetical listing of companies and their claims phone
numbers. Claims can be reported to these numbers 24 hours/day
- 7 days/week.
Auto
Claim
- Be certain that all persons are safe and uninjured.
- Contact any necessary emergency personnel including Police
and Medical.
- Gather the information from the scene of the accident including
the Street Names and Intersections, Witnesses, Claimant's Name
(the other party involved), Address, Phone Number, Date of Birth,
License Number, Car License Plate Number, Auto Insurance Policy
Number and Company, and any other information that pertains to
the accident.
- Call your Independent Insurance Agent or Insurance Carrier
to report the loss.
- Follow the direction of your agent or adjuster in gathering
estimates or copies of bills and receipts.
- Complete any forms that are sent to you by your Insurance Carrier
-- New York State has a minimum number of days required to report
a loss and follow up on the paperwork to process a claim. This
will expedite your payment.

Claim
- Be certain that all people and animals are safe.

the loss. They will instruct you through the claims process which
include gathering estimates of damage, estimates of repairs, and
other necessary forms.
- Protect your property from further loss (weather, theft, exposure)
where necessary.
- Keep damaged property for an adjuster to see.
