AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE

Bodily Injury
Injuries to Others for which any insured is legally responsible because of an auto accident.

Property Damage
Damage to Property of Others for which any insured is legally responsible because of an auto accident.

Personal Injury Protection (PIP -No-Fault)
First party benefits to reimburse for personal injuries - sustained by an eligible injured, caused by an accident arising out of the use or operation of a motor vehicle, regardless of who is at fault.

OBEL (Optional Basic Economic Loss)
An enhancement to PIP. After the PIP coverage limit has been exhausted, the claimant can select the kind of benefit to be paid from OBEL. (See your insurance contract for options.)

Medical Payments
Medical and/or Funeral Expenses incurred because of an automobile accident, regardless of who is at fault.

Uninsured / Underinsured Motorist
Bodily injury expenses incurred when the insured is the victim of an accident involving an uninsured vehicle or a vehicle that has insufficient coverage.

Comprehensive
Damage to the insured vehicle from an accident Other Than Collision (includes Fire, Theft, Vandalism).

Collision
Damage to the insured vehicle from an accident.

Towing
A set dollar amount for reimbursement of Towing and Labor Expenses.

Rental
Reimbursement for Rental Car Expenses, up to a set dollar amount per day (maximum 30 days) while a covered automobile is being repaired as a result of a covered loss.
